StarTek call center in Lynchburg to hire 200

A Lynchburg call center will conduct a job fair next week to begin hiring 200 jobs.
The hiring by StarTek will nearly double its current payroll of 250. The News & Advance reported that the hiring is the second expansion in the past four months.
Human resources manager Linda Wilkinson said Thursday that the new hires will work as customer service agents handling billing issues for a StarTek client. The company does not identify its clients.
The jobs will pay $9 an hour. After 60 days on the job, employees will receive a full benefits package.
StarTek will hold the job fair Tuesday.
