Every Tuesday is bingo night at the Redwood Ruritan Club , and it doesn’t just offer fellowship in the way of old-fashioned fun, but the profits are given right back to the community.
When asked about this, Bousman said, “It goes back into the club, but it goes out into scholarships, fundraisers, whatever. If anybody has a fire, we give $300 for clothes, automatically. We give to the schools and buy Christmas gifts for kids. We give out bags of food for the elderly and Hunters for the Hungry and Operation We Care.”
Typically lasting until 10 p.m., there are 18 different bingo games, including, Crazy T, Inside Square and Letter X.
For anyone feeling really lucky, instant win tickets are also sold for $1.
