An open letter to the media:
What has happened that we no longer get to go to the polls and vote for whom we want to see elected? We quit watching television because each of our three stations start the newscast with some type of "breaking news" with regard to a new poll. It's just as bad with the newspapers and the articles on the front page.
Every day, there's a new poll predicting who is going to win the presidential election in 2012, and we haven't had an election yet. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. Will you back off and let us vote to determine whom we want elected, not whom you want elected?
I'd love to see some local news with focus on local happenings, not something that is speculation. Thank you, and your cooperation is appreciated and expected.
