James Pace could be the busiest keyboard banger in the Roanoke and New River Valleys. Pace, 26, says his favorite gig to play is with the Non-Profits, a band that includes his brother, guitarist Cyrus Pace. But you can also find him on stages with The Pop Rivets, Kevin Selfe and the Tornadoes and others including the nascent Pace Brothers Organ Trio. You can hear him working live with the Non-Profits this weekend at FloydFest. He says he'll also be playing with Eddy "The Chief" Clearwater at the Taste of The Blue Ridge Jazz and Blues Festival on Sept. 10. And he's pretty excited about his gig with Selfe, who also plays with Little Rodger and the Cheap Thrills. In case you didn't know, we've been doing these podcasts for a little while now. What are they? They're like radio shows in mp3 format. You can right click and hit "save target as" to download them to your computer or mp3 player, or just stream them by hitting the pointy thing in the RealPlayer box above right. If you want to get with the leading edge tech stuff, you can drag the XML button above left onto your news reader. Go to our message board and tell us what you think. Listen to more podcasts.
