Scott H. Biram brings his "Dirty Old One Man Band" act to Martin's Downtown Bar & Grille, Roanoke, on Wednesday.
Biram, inspired and influences by artists such as John Lee Hooker and Hazel Adkins, cranks an old Gibson electric, pounds his foot on an amplified stomp box, and hoots and hollers like an old-time radio preacher who's stared down the bottom of many empty whiskey bottles.
Don't expect Biram to get drunk for your amusement, though. He has performed with Adkins, who became legendary for his alchol comsumption, and doesn't want to fall into the same trap. He can fuel your party, though, with a music that mixes his punk roots with bluegrass, country, gospel and blues — get show details here .
