When it's hot out, everyone at home or in the office fights over the thermostat. But what happens when you adjust the thermostat and the air conditioner doesn't respond? Most people want immediate repair and relie.
David Kyle, owner of Trademasters Service Corp in Lorton, Va., says he's actually been applauded upon entering or leaving a building when making a repair. "They're cold, hot and uncomfortable or there's a health issue, and they're excited to have you there," Kyle says.
Kyle's company, along with many involved in heating, air conditioning and refrigerating (HVAC or HVACR), does much more than just repair broken systems, however. "We focus on improving the energy efficiency in existing commercial buildings," says Kyle. And that's one reason why HVACR mechanics or technicians are in high demand.
