Roanoke police investigate after man wounded in shooting
A man suffered gunshot wounds Friday night at a residence in the 1000 block of First Street Southwest in Roanoke.
Police responded to Carilion Memorial Hospital on Friday shortly before 11:30 p.m., according to police spokeswoman Aisha Johnson, where the man had been transported via private vehicle.
Johnson said Charles Hancock Draper, a 30-year-old Roanoke man, was being treated for gunshot wounds he received earlier Friday night at a residence on First Street Southwest.
Johnson said no arrests have been made, and officers are still trying to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting.
