Christiansburg man dies in 1-vehicle crash on Interstate 81
A Christiansburg man died Tuesday afternoon in a car wreck in Washington County, according to state police.
Quinn A. Asher, 28, was driving southbound on Interstate 81 in a 2002 Ford Escape when the car ran off the left side of the road at mile marker 8 and flipped several times, according to a news release.
State police responded at 2:24 p.m. Asher, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the car and died at the scene, the release stated.
Police said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
