Roanoke police investigating Thanksgiving Day robbery at 7-Eleven

Roanoke police are investigating Thursday’s robbery of a 7-Eleven convenience store in which two men stole cash and merchandise, authorities said.

Police spokeswoman Aisha Johnson said two men — one wearing a ski mask, the other with pantyhose over his head — entered the 7-Eleven in the 2100 block of Bennington Street at 12:36 a.m. and demanded cash.

The clerk complied, and the two men then left the store.

Johnson did not say how much money or what merchandise was stolen.

Police described the men as standing just under 6 feet tall and weighing between 140 and 150 pounds. One of the men was black, the other was white, police said.

Johnson said the men did not show a weapon during the robbery, and nobody was injured.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Roanoke Police Department at 853-5959.
