Our NIE team offers engaging teacher and student workshops that present a wealth of information about the newspaper and its role in society and today’s classrooms.
Teacher workshops are conducted by request and can be designed to fit specific needs such as grade level or subject area. All of the teacher workshops are hands-on and demonstrate how today's teachers can incorporate the newspaper as a living textbook into their daily lessons.
Student workshops are also conducted by request and can cover a variety of topics related to the newspaper industry. From demonstrating newspaper activities and making learning about the newspaper fun to explaining the different careers at a newspaper and how the newspaper works, our student workshops make students excited about reading the newspaper and becoming informed citizens.
