Notes: Virginia Tech coach Seth Greenberg said Friday that Cadarian Raines and Jarell Eddie, who both left Thursday’s game with cramps, will play today. He said Victor Davila and C.J. Barksdale, who missed the game with injuries, will be game-time decisions. … The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Friday that Georgia Tech first-year coach Brian Gregory has indefinitely suspended forward Glen Rice Jr. (13 ppg, 6.7 rpg), the team’s top scorer and rebounder, for undisclosed reasons. … The Yellow Jackets, who are 0-6 all-time at Cassell Coliseum, will also be without backup center Nate Hicks, who will miss his third straight game with mononucleosis. … In Thursday’s 48-47 loss at FSU, the Hokies were 3-of-10 from the free-throw line in the final three minutes. They were 2-of-15 from the field in the final 14 minutes. Virginia Tech, which had been ranked sixth nationally in 3-point field-goal percentage defense, led by nine points with 1:29 to go before giving up a layup and three 3-pointers. “It had nothing to do with made field goals or missed field goals,” Greenberg said. “We step up and make free throws, the game’s over. End of discussion. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out. Every time a game’s lost, people want to dissect it. It’s real simple.” … Georgia Tech has lost eight of its past nine games. … Mfon Udofia averages 10 points for the Yellow Jackets, while Kammeon Holsey averages 8.8 points and Daniel Miller 8 points.
