On The Edge
I recently started a lacrosse club at Radford High School with the help of Radford University professor Bill Flora.
Lacrosse is very popular in the Northeast, Northwest and upper Mid-Atlantic regions of the country, and it is becoming more mainstream in the West and South.
Although we've started with only a handful of members, I hope to compete with clubs and teams in the area such as NRV Lacrosse Club, Radford University's and Virginia Tech's teams, and clubs from Patrick Henry, Hidden Valley and Cave Spring high schools in the Roanoke Valley.
Hopefully the addition of a new lacrosse club in the area will attract more students to play.
