Corner Shot: "Forever Changed" to benefit Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund

A new version of "Forever Changed," the tribute song dedicated to the victims and survivors of the Virginia Tech shootings, is available for purchase, with all proceeds going to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund.

The song was written and sung by former Roanoke County resident and Tech graduate Kurtis Parks, who recorded the song with his band, the Season. The group also features Tech alumnus Josh Kim.

The Season recorded the song within days of the shootings, then performed it at several memorial concerts. The group re-recorded the song in Blacksburg with string accompaniment, then Grammy-winning engineer David Thoener mixed the song for free. Nashville's Georgetown Masters mastered the final version to make it ready for airplay and downloading.

The song is available online at iTunes or through Snocap on the band's Web site, myspace.com/theseasononline.
